Service Description

Real Life Foundations (Real-World Skills & CGC Prep) This 6-week group training program is designed to help you build real-life skills and reliability you can count on—both at home and in public. For graduates of Puppy Foundations & Confidence or dogs with basic obedience skills, this class focuses on building real-world reliability, confidence, engagement, leash skills, public neutrality, and preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Led by Christa of StormsAsh K9, with support from Maria of Balanced Dog Coach, this program focuses on practical training for everyday life, not just obedience in a controlled environment. Throughout the program, you and your dog will strengthen foundational skills such as sit, down, place, recall, leash manners, engagement, and focus while learning how to navigate real-world distractions with confidence and clarity. Each class builds upon the previous week, providing a structured path toward improved communication, reliability, and teamwork. You'll receive guidance, coaching and homework designed to help you continue making progress between sessions. As an official AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Christa will conduct CGC testing for eligible teams at the conclusion of the program, giving participants the opportunity to earn their AKC Canine Good Citizen title. Class Details: • Duration: 6 weeks • Day & Time: Wednesday at 6:00 PM Starting June 24th, 2026 • Location: Arlington area (exact location provided after registration) Prerequisite: Completion of Puppy Foundations & Confidence or instructor approval.
